Repositioning The Mission Continues for Authentic Impact

Client Challenge

The Mission Continues, a nonprofit veteran organization, sought to clarify its dual mission of empowering veterans through service while addressing community needs. Over time, the brand had drifted from its “gritty” and hardworking roots, despite the hands-on nature of its missions.

Stakeholders were divided on whether the organization was primarily a veteran group or a community-focused volunteer network. Some feedback suggested the logo’s perceived religious symbolism caused confusion, and veterans expressed a need for stronger representation within the brand’s identity. As part of a rebrand, The Mission Continues aimed to refine its positioning and develop a library of assets to support its social media, communications, website, and media channels.

Creative Solution

Go Do Good tackled these challenges with a messaging and visual overhaul. Messaging emphasized The Mission Continues as “for veterans dedicated to serving those in need and their supporters.” Stylized backdrops of under-resourced communities were paired with imagery of veterans transforming these areas, reinforcing the tagline: “Reporting for Duty in Your Community.”

The color palette expanded to reflect U.S. Armed Forces service eras. Navy remained the primary color, symbolizing stability, while hunter green honored pre-9/11 veterans, and sand reflected post-9/11 service. These updates fostered a sense of belonging and recognition.

A bold, animated tagline, “Reporting for Duty in Your Community,” reclaimed the brand’s gritty authenticity and equipped The Mission Continues with versatile assets for cohesive branding across platforms.
